Want to add some stairs to your project? Follow the steps below:
- Go to Room Level.
- Tap on “Add Object".
- Tap on “Structural” and choose the staircase you need. Alternatively: Pull down the object category menu to access the object search and enter the name of the object you are looking for.
- Tap on the staircase to add it to the plan.
- Drag and drop the staircase to the correct location.
NOTE: Change its alignment through tapping on the curved arrow next to the furniture object and adjust, if necessary, its dimensions. Depending on the type of the staircase you have selected, through the same “Details” menu from where you have adjusted its dimensions, you may choose to apply different attributes such as the elevation of the staircase (leading to an upper or a lower floor), if it is going to spin from left to right or the opposite, and others. Unfortunately, in the current version of magicplan it is not possible to indicate the number and the dimensions of single stairs within the staircase.
Since it is not possible to render two floors on top of each other, add the staircase in 2D on both floors to indicate where they begin/end. In 3D, depending on the attribute, the staircase will render either as a leading upwards or will “cut a hole" in the floor. That is why, to render the attributes applied, a staircase would need to be added inside, rather than outside of a room.
