# Create a Project in the magicplan Cloud
## Prepare projects in advance by creating them in the cloud.
In the [magicplan Cloud](http://cloud.magicplan.app/login), you can get a head start on your projects and fill them in with the project name, details, and location. Once ready, you can open the project in the [app](https://help.magicplan.app/the-magicplan-app-vs.-the-magicplan-cloud) and start creating a floor plan on your mobile or tablet device.
ℹ️ **Note:** Projects can be created and sketched in the cloud, however, some room creation methods ([Auto-Scan](https://help.magicplan.app/auto-scan-your-floor-plan), [Manual Scan](https://help.magicplan.app/scan-a-room-in-seconds-using-lidar), [Import & Draw](https://help.magicplan.app/import-and-digitalize-an-existing-floor-plan)) require the use of a mobile device.
To add rooms in the cloud, use [Draw Room](https://help.magicplan.app/create-a-room-with-the-define-corners-feature), [Add a Square Room](https://help.magicplan.app/create-a-room-with-the-square-room-feature), or [Add Filler](https://help.magicplan.app/fill-rooms). ### Create a project in the magicplan Cloud:
1. Simply log into the [magicplan Cloud](http://cloud.magicplan.app/login) and click the "Projects" tab in the left hand menu.
2. Click the "New Project" icon with the plus sign (+) on the page.
1. If you are a PRO subscriber, you will see a pop up message telling you how many projects you have left for the month, and asking you to confirm that you'd like to create a new project. Click "Confirm" to create your project.
3. You'll be taken to the project dashboard for your new project. From here you can:
- Click the "i" icon to access your project details and enter a new project name.
- Click the "Address" option to search for the address via Google Maps, or enter it manually.
- Click the "Assigned to" button to [add a project assignee](https://help.magicplan.app/assign/reassign-a-project-to-a-workspace-member) and move the project to a new workspace or team if relevant.
**ℹ️ Note:** If you [assigned the project](https://help.magicplan.app/assign/reassign-a-project-to-a-workspace-member) to a workspace or team member, keep in mind that only the assigned member will be able to view the project in the app, but all workspace members can view the project in the cloud.
### Access your newly created project in the magicplan app:
1. Enter the magicplan app.
2. From the home screen, tap the "All" button in the upper left corner to view all projects.
3. With magicplan's automatic sync, the project you created in the cloud will automatically be available in the app.
