Create a Virtual Tour

Transform magicplan into the most cost-effective tool to create virtual tours.

A virtual tour created with magicplan is almost as vivid as an in-person visit. Follow the steps below and use magicplan as the most cost-effective tool to offer and share virtual tours. 

Using a 360 camera with magicplan

Connect a 360 camera to your device to use with magicplan. The pictures taken will be attached to your floor plan and automatically assembled into a virtual tour in the magicplan Cloud. The following cameras can be used with magicplan: 

  • Ricoh Theta V
  • Ricoh Theta S
  • Ricoh Theta SC
  • Ricoh Theta Z1

Follow the steps below to take 360 pictures:

  1. Go to your project's floor or room level.
  2. Tap on "+ Add" , then select "Object".
  3. Tap on "Annotations", then tap on the "360 Panorama" icon.
  4. The icon will be added to the floor plan or room.
  5. Place the icon on the point where you want to take your 360 picture.
  6. Tap on the "360 Panorama" icon, then tap on the "i" next to the object name. Select "Photos & Notes" and tap the camera icon.
  7. Your 360 camera will be connected via Bluetooth and the 360 picture will be taken.
  8. Go from room to room and repeat the procedure until you have taken as many 360 pictures as you need.

create a virtual tour

Manually add 360 photos:

magicplan allows you to upload 360 photos. It doesn't matter how the photos are taken or if you download them. Follow the steps below to add 360 photos manually:

  1. Go to your project's floor or room level.
  2. Tap on "+ Add" , then select "Object".
  3. Tap on "Annotations", then tap on the "360 Panorama" icon.
  4. The icon will be added to the floor plan or room.
  5. Tap on the "360 Panorama" icon, then tap on the "i" next to the object name. Select "Photos & Notes" and tap the camera icon.
  6. Add the matching 360 photo for the room you just placed the icon in.
