How to Capture and Edit 360 Photos Using 360Link
Connect a 360 camera, capture panoramic or 360 photos, and add markups directly within the magicplan app.
With the new 360Link feature, capturing immersive 360 photos in magicplan has never been easier. You can now access 360 mode directly from the main camera. Quickly connect a 360 camera, and start taking multiple panoramic photos at the floor, room, wall, or object level—no special annotations required. Plus, you can edit and markup your 360 images right in the app, and all photos are seamlessly included as interactive links in your PDF reports.

How to Use 360Link
You can now access and use your 360 camera directly from the magicplan camera screen. Follow these steps to connect your camera, capture 360 photos, and edit them.
Accessing the camera
- Open a project and:
- Scroll to the photo section and tap the camera icon OR
- Open a floor level of your project and tap the room, object, or wall to which you'd like to add a 360 image. Open the details menu, access the Photos & Notes section, and tap the plus (+) sign to access the camera.
- At the bottom of the photo screen, select "360LINK" mode.
Connecting your 360 Camera
- If you try to take a 360 photo and your camera is not connected, a message will prompt you to link your camera.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your camera's serial number.
- Tap "Connect".
ℹ️ Note: Once connected, your device remembers the camera, eliminating the need to reconnect every time!
Use Live Preview and Capture Photos
- After connecting, you'll see a live preview of what your camera sees.
- Adjust the view by panning around or switching to panoramic mode.
- Tap the shutter button to capture a 360 photo.
💡Tip: You can turn off live preview to save battery life on your camera.
Save and Add Multiple 360 Photos
- Once the photo processes, tap "Save".
- You can easily capture multiple 360 photos from the same location to track changes to your site over time.
- Switch between modes (Photo, Video, 360LINK) as needed.
Edit and Markup 360 Photos
- From your Project dashboard, open the Photos section.
- Tap a 360 image to open and review the editing tools.
- Tap Edit to crop, rotate, scale, or flip the image.
- Tap the drawing icon to annotate. With this feature you can:
- Redact sensitive information.
- Highlight points of interest or issues.
- Add text annotations and shapes to provide additional context.
- Tap "Save" when done.
Include 360 Photos in Reports
- All 360 photos are automatically added to your PDF Reports and Photo Reports.
- 360 images are clickable in your reports and open interactively in a browser.
- Any markups or annotations will also appear in the report view.
Troubleshooting and Connectivity
RICOH360 Troubleshooting
If you encounter difficulty connecting to a RICOH360 camera after entering its serial number and pressing the "Connect" button, take the following steps:
- Verify that the camera is powered on and its Wi-Fi network is enabled.
- Ensure that the mobile device's Wi-Fi network is operational.
- Double-check that the entered serial number is accurate.
- Investigate whether a custom Wi-Fi password has been configured on the RICOH360 camera.
- If a custom password is present, uncheck the "Use Default Password" option.
- Subsequently, enter the custom password along with the camera's serial number.
If the camera remains stationary on the "Connecting" screen, and you have established a single device pairing, try the following steps:
- Verify that the camera is powered on and its Wi-Fi network is operational.
- Ensure that the mobile device's Wi-Fi network is operational.
- Press the "Cancel" button located within the 360LINK mode.
- Subsequently, press the "Connect" button and patiently await the connection process.
If the camera remains stationary on the "Connecting" screen, and you have established multiple device pairings, please try the steps below:
- Verify that the camera is powered on and its Wi-Fi network is operational.
- Ensure that the mobile device's Wi-Fi network is operational.
- Access the 360LINK settings by tapping on the Gear icon.
- Locate the "Connecting…" button near the camera you wish to connect to.
- Subsequently, press the "Connect" button near the camera you wish to connect to.
ℹ️ Note: If the above steps do not correct your connectivity issues, restart both your 360 camera and the app, and attempt the connection steps again. If you are still unable to connect your camera, please reach out to our Support team.
