Connect a Compatible Bluetooth Measuring Device with PrecisionLink
Increase the accuracy of your floor plans with magicplan's PrecisionLink.
magicplan's AR Scan feature (iOS) is 95-98% accurate. However, for 100% accuracy, or for devices that cannot use our scanning features, you may wish to use PrecisionLink. PrecisionLink allows you to connect a compatible Bluetooth laser meter or digital tape measure with magicplan. Read on to review the steps for connecting your Bluetooth measuring device, or click one of the links below to see the list of compatible Bluetooth devices.
Compatible Bluetooth Digital Tape Measures
How to connect and measure with PrecisionLink in the app:
- Turn on your Bluetooth measuring device, then open your project.
- Open a floor plan.
- Tap on a room to enter it, and tap on a wall or object.
- You can access the element's measurements in two ways:
- Tap the wall or element you wish to edit, then access the details menu.
- On a tablet, tap the "i" icon in the upper right corner. On a mobile phone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen once the element is selected.
- Tap on the measurement in the details menu.
- Tap the visible blue numeral measurement of the element directly on the floor plan.
- Tap the wall or element you wish to edit, then access the details menu.
- In the "Change Measurement" pop-up, tap the "Laser" option. You will see a list including "My Devices" and "Nearby Devices." Tap "Connect" next to the model you are using. Once your device is connected, it will be moved to the "My Devices" section.
- Proceed to measure the distance with your device, then tap "Done".
- To continue measuring other dimensions with your measuring device, repeat steps 2-5.

ℹ️ Note: All of the listed devices have been tested for compatibility with magicplan PrecisionLink. App compatibility with a device model that is not listed here may be possible, but is not guaranteed.
For users in the U.S., Bosch "Blaze" Lasers with the same model number as the ones listed are known to be compatible with magicplan.
