Download projects from the magicplan Cloud to app to continue working on them on your device.
Having trouble finding a project you created in the app? No worries! Let us guide you on how to easily locate and download your projects from the magicplan Cloud to app. By following these steps, you'll be able to access your projects on your mobile or tablet device, allowing you to seamlessly continue your work.
Download a project from the cloud to app:
- From the app home screen, tap the filter icon in the upper left corner.
- Tap "Device & Cloud" if it is not already selected. From this screen you can see all the projects you have created in magicplan that are saved locally on your device and/or in the magicplan Cloud.
ℹ️ Note: By default, when you download the app, it will open on the "Device & Cloud" screen. The app will remember whether you last used the "Device" or "Device & Cloud" screen, so when you close and reopen the app, it will automatically open to the screen you were on previously.
- Scroll through your projects or type the project name in the search bar at the top of the screen.
- Tap the project you would like to download and the download will begin.
ℹ️ Note: You will see a grey cloud symbol in the upper right corner of the project if it is not already downloaded on your device.
Why are my projects locked?
You will see a locked symbol on your projects for two reasons. (1) A magicplan subscription allows you to work on your projects from two mobile or tablet devices. If you are trying to work on your projects from a third device, the projects on the device and cloud will show as locked. (2) As a free user you can only work on the two projects designated as free. This applies even if you previously had a subscription. You can open and see the details of your projects in the magicplan Cloud.
I don't see my project on "Device" or "Device & Cloud". Why?
It could be that you didn't upload your project to the cloud. This is a very important step to make sure your project is properly saved for later use. If you're working on the app from two devices, please be sure to review how to synchronize your projects between two devices. Alternatively, your project could have been deleted from your device and the magicplan Cloud. Unfortunately, we are often unable to retrieve deleted projects in this case.
