How to Change Your Workspace Name

Quick and easy steps to update your workspace name from the magicplan Cloud.

You can easily rename a workspace by accessing the magicplan Cloud on your computer. This quick update helps keep your workspace names organized and aligned with your team or project needs.

ℹ️ Note: You must be the owner of the workspace or have admin permissions to update the name of a workspace. To learn more about roles and permissions in workspaces, click here.

Follow these steps to rename a workspace from your browser:

  1. Open the magicplan Cloud and sign in using your account credentials.
  2. In the sidebar menu, click the dropdown menu in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. From the dropdown, select the workspace name you want to update.
  4. Once you’ve selected the correct workspace, click the dropdown menu again and choose “Manage Workspaces.”
  5. In the “Rename Current Workspace” section, click “Edit.”
  6. Enter your new workspace name in the field provided.
  7. Click “Save” to confirm your changes.

Your workspace name is now updated!

💡 Tip: The dropdown menu may still show the original workspace name until you refresh the page or navigate to another section in the magicplan Cloud.
