How to Change or Upgrade Your In-App Subscription
Need to switch single-user plans or change your subscription? Here's how to update your in-app subscription for magicplan, whether you're on an Apple or an Android device.
Your magicplan single-user subscription can be updated directly through the app provider you originally subscribed with. The steps look a little different depending on whether you're using an Apple device or an Android device, so we've broken both down below.
Updating Your Subscription on Apple (App Store)
If you subscribed to magicplan through the App Store, you can update your plan one of three ways: by accessing a higher feature in the app, by visiting your Subscription settings in the app, or right from your device's Settings.
ℹ️ Note: When making App Store purchases, the card associated with your Apple ID will automatically be charged. To change your method of payment, you will need to update that information directly in your Apple Account.
To upgrade by accessing a higher feature:
- Open magicplan on your Apple device.
- Try to use a feature that isn't included in your current plan (for example, a tool or export option reserved for a higher tier).
- When prompted, tap "Upgrade" to see the available plans.
- Select the plan you'd like to switch to.
- Confirm your purchase through the App Store to complete the upgrade.
To upgrade from within the app:
- Open magicplan on your device and tap "My Account."
- Tap "Subscription" then tap "See Plans."
- Select the tier you would like to subscribe to and complete your purchase in the App Store.
To upgrade from your device settings:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top of the screen.
- Tap "Subscriptions."
- Select magicplan from your list of subscriptions.
- Choose the plan you'd like to switch to, then tap "Confirm" to complete your purchase in the App Store.
💡 Tip: If you don't see magicplan listed under your subscriptions, make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe originally.
Updating Your Subscription on Android (Google Play Store)
Updating your subscription on Android works a little differently. Instead of managing your plan through your device settings or through the magicplan app, you'll upgrade by trying to access a feature that's included in a higher plan.
- Open magicplan on your Android device.
- Try to use a feature that isn't included in your current plan (for example, a tool or export option reserved for a higher tier).
- When prompted, tap "Upgrade" to see the available plans.
- Select the plan you'd like to switch to.
- Confirm your purchase through Google Play to complete the upgrade.
ℹ️ Note: Android subscriptions can only be upgraded this way. There isn't a direct "change plan" option in your device settings, so you'll need to attempt to use a paid feature to trigger the upgrade screen.
