Archive & Delete a Project

Keep your workspace organized and up to date by archiving or deleting projects you no longer need.

Archiving a project in magicplan is a great way to clean up your workspace without permanently deleting important work. You can easily move projects to the "Archived" folder and restore them later if needed. If you no longer need the project, it's also simple to delete it from your archived projects. Follow the steps outlined below.

ℹ️ Note: The project archive provides a useful failsafe against accidentally deleting projects. Projects can only be archived, restored, or deleted from the magicplan app.

Archive a Project

  1. Open the magicplan app on your mobile device.
  2. Find and select the project you want to archive on your home screen. You can do this one of two ways:
    1. Tap and hold the project until the menu appears, or
    2. Tap the three dots (...) in the lower right corner of the project thumbnail.
  3. Choose "Archive" from the pop up menu options. The project will automatically be relocated to your "Archived" folder.
  4. Access your archived projects by tapping the "Archived" folder in the upper left corner of the screen. You will then be able to see all of your archived projects. Check out the visual guide below to see these steps in action!

Restore or Delete a Project

  1. Access the "Archived" folder from your app home page.
  2. To restore or delete a project, tap and hold the thumbnail image or tap the three dots (...) in the lower right corner of the image. You'll see two options:
    1. Restore: Select this option to move the project back to your active projects.
    2. Delete: Select this option to permanently delete this project.

ℹ️ Note: Deleting is only available to subscribed users. Free users cannot delete projects in magicplan.

⚠️ Caution: Deleting a project is a permanent action that cannot be undone. Once you delete your project, it is unrecoverable.
