How to Group and Sort Your Photos

For comprehensive site documentation, you can easily customize how photos, videos and 360 images are grouped and sorted in your project’s "Photos" section.

Arrange your Photos

The photo report will always display images and videos in the order you have them sorted and grouped in the "Photos" section. Before creating your Photo Report, you'll want to be sure that your photos are in the order you want them to appear. You can use the following steps to organize your photos in either the app or the cloud:

To arrange your Photos:

  1. Open your project, and tap the "Photos" section in the Project Dashboard.
  2. Tap the circle icon with the three lines in the upper right corner to see your View Options.
Adjust your "Group By" settings:
  1. Group by Date Created: Photos will be grouped with other images based on the date the images were created. Toggle the "Sub-group" option to group photos by Rooms or Objects.
    1. When grouping by Date Created in the app, each separate date will display separate buttons for the project or floor level where those photos were added. Select one of these buttons to export only the photos from that area.
  1. Group by Floors: Photos will be grouped based on the Floor level they're attached to. You can then scroll to that floor level and include All photos from that floor, or select a single room to include in the Report.
    1. Toggle the "Sub-group" option to further arrange photos by Rooms or Objects.
    2. Toggle the "Hide Empty Floors & Rooms" option to hide any floors or rooms that have no images associated.
    3. When grouping photos by Floor in the app, each floor will display separate buttons for the rooms on that floor, so you can opt to export all photos from the whole floor, or just the photos from a single room.

ℹ️ Note: When sorted by Floor, photos will appear on that floor in the order they were taken or added to the project.

Adjust your "Sort By" settings:
  1. Sort Newest to Oldest: Sort your photos starting with the most recently added images.
  2. Sort Oldest to Newest: Sort your photos starting with the oldest images.

💡Tip: Choosing the sort order of your photos can help you track changes to your job site in chronological order.

Select Photos

If you are creating a Photo Report in the app, you can choose to export only selected photos. Photos will be featured in your report in the order of selection. To choose your photos:

  1. Tap “Select” in the upper right corner
  2. Tap each photo you’d like to include
  3. A menu will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap “Share” then select the method you’d like to use to export your photos.
    1. From this menu, you can also move photos to a different location, download, or delete images.
