Mark a Project as a Favorite in the magicplan App

Quickly access your most important projects by marking them as favorites in the magicplan app.

You can mark any project as a favorite in the magicplan app, either from the home screen or directly within a project. This lets you easily find and open frequently needed projects by viewing them in the "Favorites" tab.

ℹ️ Note: Favorited projects are automatically available offline, giving you access to free local storage. This is the only way to make a project available offline, and it is perfect for working in areas with limited or no internet connection.

How to Mark a Project as a Favorite

From the Home Screen

  1. Open the magicplan app and go to your home screen.
  2. Locate the project you want to favorite.
  3. Either:
    • Tap the three dots (...) in the lower corner of the project’s icon, or
    • Tap and hold the project thumbnail.
  4. In the pop-up menu that appears, tap "Favorite" next to the star icon.

From the Project Dashboard

  1. Open your project to go to the project dashboard.
  2. Tap the project name in the upper left corner of the screen.
  3. In the drop-down menu, tap "Favorite" next to the star icon. Favorited projects will have a yellow star icon on the thumbnail image.
    1. On a tablet, you can also access this option directly in the project dashboard’s sidebar menu.

💡 Tip: This method is especially handy if you decide a project is important while you're reviewing its details or making edits.

Where to Find Your Favorite Projects

Once you've marked a project as a favorite:

  • Tap the "Favorites" tab at the top of your home screen.
  • All of your favorite projects are stored here, so you can access them quickly without searching through all your files.

How to Remove a Project from Favorites

You can remove a project from your favorites list at any time.

From the Home Screen

  1. On your home screen, find the project you've favorited.
  2. Tap the three dots (...) or tap and hold the project icon.
  3. In the pop-up menu, tap "Unfavorite".

From the Project Dashboard

  1. Open the project to go to the project dashboard.
  2. Tap the project name in the upper left corner of the screen.
  3. In the drop-down menu, tap "Unfavorite".
    1. On a tablet, you can also access this option directly in the project dashboard’s sidebar menu.

💡 Tip: If you’re already inside a project, this is the fastest way to update its favorite status without going back to the home screen.
