How to Delete a Photo or Video

Learn how to quickly remove unwanted photos or videos from your rooms, floors, or project in the magicplan app.

magicplan lets you attach photos and videos to your projects to capture important visual details. If you've added one by mistake or simply no longer need it, you can delete it in just a few steps.

⚠️ Caution: Deleting a photo or video is permanent. This action cannot be undone, so make sure you no longer need the file before confirming the deletion.

If you need to delete a photo or video after it has been added, you can remove your media in two ways. To remove media from the Photos section, follow these steps:

  1. From the project dashboard, find the Photos section and tap the blue "See All" link
  2. Tap and hold the image or video, or tap the three dots (...) in the lower right corner to bring up the menu options.
  3. Select "Delete." You will be asked to confirm your choice. Tap "Delete" again to permanently remove the photo from your project.

To remove media directly from your project, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the magicplan app and open the project that contains the photo or video you'd like to delete.

  2. Tap on the floor plan to enter the room or area where the photo or video is attached.

  3. Open the Details section to view the media attached to that room or area.

    • On a tablet: Tap the "i" icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
    • On a phone: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

  4. Scroll through the Details section until you find the photo or video you want to delete.

  5. Tap to open the photo and select the trash can icon to delete.
