Are you planing to install carpeting or tiling in your home?  magicplan helps you to find the perfect roll cut and gives you an automatically created estimate of the costs right away. This is how it works:

Tiling:

  1. Go to room level
  2. Tap on insert object
  3. Select "Flooring", then "Tiles"
  4. Decide which type of tiles you wish to insert.
  5. A tile icon will appear on your screen. Just place it somewhere in the room.
  6. Edit the tile by double-tapping or using the info button in the bottom right corner.
You are able to change the dimensions, colour, add photos and set a price. Setting a price is important if you want magicplan to automatically compute an estimate of the costs.

Carpeting works in a similar way as tiling, only that there are some added features.

Carpeting:

  1. Go to room level
  2. Tap on insert object
  3. Select "Flooring", then "Carpets"
  4. Decide which type of carpet you wish to insert
  5. The flooring menu will appear on your screen and gives you the opportunity to work with your carpet. You can align, switch and split your carpet or just let magicplan do the work by tapping "Optimize". There are also multiple editing options for your carpet like changing the cut margin, roll width, colour, price and more. Setting a price is important if you want magicplan to automatically compute an estimate of the costs.
  6. You can re-enter the Flooring screen at any time just by tapping the icon at the bottom when you are at floor level or room level.

To get a quote for your project go to floor plan level and enter the estimate section. You can find all the details about the costs for your new flooring. Of course, you can also export the quote.

If you have added carpeting to your floor plan you can also get and export the roll cut. It depicts all the information about how much material is needed and how exactly to cut the carpet. To export the roll cut go to floor plan level, tap on "Export" and select "Get Roll Cut". An email including a PDF with your roll cut will be sent to you.
