# Download Project Photos From the App & Cloud

## Photos added to a project can be saved locally on your device & downloaded individually or in bulk from the magicplan Cloud.

magicplan allows you to [add photos](https://help.magicplan.app/add-information-and-photos-on-room-level) to any element of a floor plan - the overall project, a wall, a specific object that is added to a room, and more! These photos provide a valuable visual that you don't want to lose. Learn how to save your project photos locally on your device and download them on your computer from the cloud. 

### Download from the App

There are two ways to save photos locally on your device. 

1. **Enable "Save to Photo Library" under app preferences.** This will ensure that a copy of any photo you take in the magicplan app is saved to your device's photos folder.  
     1. Tap "My Account" at the bottom of the app home screen.
     2. Tap "App Preferences".
     3. Enable the "Save to Photo Library" toggle.
     4. Now, when you take a photo in the app, the photo will be automatically saved to your device's photos folder.
2. **Save individual photos onto your device.** If you already took photos in the app that weren't saved to your device, or would only like to save certain photos to your device, you can save them individually from the app.   
     1. Open your project and scroll down to your Photos section
     2. Tap the "See All" option on the right hand side of the screen.
     3. In the upper right corner, tap "Select" then tap the photo any photos you would like to save to your device.
     4. Tap the "Save" option from the menu at the bottom of the screen. You will need to give the app access to your Photo Library to do this.
     5. The photo will now be saved locally on your device.

### **Download from the Cloud**

You can download project photos individually and in bulk as a ZIP file from the [magicplan Cloud](https://cloud.magicplan.app/). 

1. **Download photos individually.** 
     1. Open the project in the cloud.
     2. Navigate to your "Photos" section and tap "See All" OR
     3. Open your project and click on the floor, room, wall, or object the photo is attached to, then click the "i" icon in the upper right corner so the details menu appears. Click the "Photos & Notes" tab.
     4. Click the photo you want to download, so it fills the screen.
     5. Click the download symbol in the upper right corner.
2. **Download photos in bulk as a ZIP file.** 
     1. Open the project in the cloud.
     2. Navigate to the "Photos" section and click "See All".
     3. Find the download icon in the upper right corner. If you hover over this button it will read "Download Photos as Zip File." Click to download.

ℹ️ **Note:** Photos have tags corresponding to where they are uploaded. These tags will be included in each photo name when you download the ZIP file.
