Download Project Photos From the App & Cloud

Photos added to a project can be saved locally on your device & downloaded individually or in bulk from the magicplan Cloud.

magicplan allows you to add photos to any element of a floor plan - the overall project, a wall, a specific object that is added to a room, and more! These photos provide a valuable visual that you don't want to lose. Learn how to save your project photos locally on your device and download them on you computer from the cloud. 

Download from the App 

There are two ways to save photos locally on your device. 

1. Enable "Make Local Copies" under app preferences. This will ensure that a copy of any photo you take in the magicplan app is saved to your device's photos folder. 
   1. Tap "My Account" at the bottom of the app home screen. 
   2. Tap "App Preferences".
   3. Enable the "Make Local Copies" toggle. 
   4. Now, when you take a photo in the app, the photo will be automatically saved to your device's photos folder. 
2. Save individual photos onto your device. If you already took photos in the app that weren't saved to your device, or would only like to save certain photos to your device, you can save them individually from the app. 
   
   1. Navigate to where the photo(s) has been uploaded to your project and tap the "i" next to the project, floor, or object name. The details menu will appear.
   2. Tap the "Photos & Notes" tab. 
   3. Tap the photo you would like to save to your device, so it fills the screen. Tap the share icon in the upper right corner. 
   4. Tap "Save Image" on iOS device and "Photos" on Android device (specific wording may vary depending on Android device). 
   5. The photo will now be saved locally on your device. 

Download from the Cloud 

You can download project photos individually and in bulk as a ZIP file from the magicplan Cloud. 

1. Download photos individually.
   1. Open the project in the cloud.
   2. Click on the floor, room, wall, or object where the photo was uploaded, or click the "Sketch" drop-down in the upper left corner and select "Photos". 
   3. If you click on the floor, room, wall, or object, click the "i" icon to the right of the floor plan so the details menu appears. Click the "Photos & Notes" tab. 
   4. Click the photo you want to download, so it fills the screen. 
   5. Click the download symbol in the upper right corner. 
2. Download photos in bulk as a ZIP file.
   1. Open the project in the cloud.
   2. Click the "Sketch" drop-down in the upper left corner and select "Photos". 
   3. Click the "Download Photos as ZIP File" button.
